Who is Pool of Bethesda Community Services?

Pool of Bethesda Community Services, Inc. (PBCS) is a community residential program that provides housing, medical/nursing and behavioral support, recreational, training and other support services to individuals with developmental disabilities in the State of Maryland. PBCS is incorporated and licensed by the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DHMH) in the State of Maryland.

We provide support services in accordance with Maryland (MD) Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) Regulation and other applicable Federal and State regulations and requirements.

PBCS’s jurisdictional areas of operation are Montgomery, Frederick, Prince Georges, Howard, Baltimore Counties and City. PBCS provides housing, medical/nursing support, recreational, training and other support needs in Alternate Living Units (ALUs).

Housing arrangements are determined by individual’s preference, compatibility, common interest and age. PBCS residences accommodate up to three residents to ensure effective supervision and care. The individuals receive 24/7 medical/nursing and behavioral support services from trained nurses and certified nursing assistants or medication technicians.
